VST - Modal Dialogs handling make their way out of VBA into VST

Over at Developing for Dynamics GP, Patrick Roth has a new article describing the new Visual Studio Tools 2010 shiny features, in particular Modal Dialog handling, passing table buffers as parameters, and function and procedure notifications. Patrick also provides sample code showing how to respond to Modal Dialog events as well as code to display notifications.

For the most part, VST now behaves likes Dex so, don't complain and enjoy the new enhancements.

PS. Wait until you see the new Menus for Visual Studio Tools... sure not to dissapoint.

I know this seems like a trivia question, but recently I have come across a number of clients who have been using Microsoft Dynamics GP for a number of years and have been told by their former partners that they *must* use the predefined currency IDs created after adding the sample company, with no real explanation to support these claims. DBMS: 12 Microsoft Dynamics GP: 0 error when updating to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 R2

Hello all! It's been quite a while since I've actually written anything of remote interest to anyone who follows my blog, but at the same time, you will be pleased to know that I've been quite busy in the consulting front, with upgrades, server migrations, complex multi-instance postings involving 10's of thousands of transactions, wrapping up some Field Service Automation projects, and the list goes on and on. A .NET Framework error occurred during the execution of user-defined routine or aggregate "GetAssignedUsers"

So, I found myself helping a client to troubleshoot a workflow issue. After configuring workflow a few weeks aback and running a few tests without any issues, we applied Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 January 2016 Hotfix. Now, when the client went to execute the workflow, he received the corresponding email indicating there was a purchase order to approve. He then proceeded to click the Approve hyperlink and the process continued as expected. After clicking the Approve button, the client receive the following error message: The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details The following shows the error as displayed on the client's screen. At this point, it is worth stating that the workflow ran to completion and the PO appeared completely approved and fine in Dynamics GP, so whatever was causing this error did not seem to interrupt the approval flow.
