The Dynamics GP Blogster to visit Toronto, Canada

The Dynamics GP Blogster will be in the beautiful city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada from June 14 to June 16 on a business assignment, but for those of you who would like to exchange business cards and ideas please don't hesitate to reach me at the Marriot Downtown Eaton Centre. I will be available in the evenings after 5:30 PM and as time permits.

For those of you who decide to tag along for dinner or otherwise, table topics are fairly open. Everything, but politics and religion goes :-) Hope to see some of you there.

Youw ill love Toronto, if you like smaller versions of NY.

1 word of caution though, next week Toronto will be host teh G20 summit so there will be lots of raods blocked off and security check points downtown, that isn't how things usually are so please do not hold it against teh city.

I know this seems like a trivia question, but recently I have come across a number of clients who have been using Microsoft Dynamics GP for a number of years and have been told by their former partners that they *must* use the predefined currency IDs created after adding the sample company, with no real explanation to support these claims. It's been quite a while since I've actually written anything of remote interest to anyone who follows my blog, but at the same time, you will be pleased to know that I've been quite busy in the consulting front, with upgrades, server migrations, complex multi-instance postings involving 10's of thousands of transactions, wrapping up some Field Service Automation projects, and the list goes on and on. A .NET Framework error occurred during the execution of user-defined routine or aggregate "GetAssignedUsers"

So, I found myself helping a client to troubleshoot a workflow issue. After configuring workflow a few weeks aback and running a few tests without any issues, we applied Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 January 2016 Hotfix. Now, when the client went to execute the workflow, he received the corresponding email indicating there was a purchase order to approve. He then proceeded to click the Approve hyperlink and the process continued as expected. After clicking the Approve button, the client receive the following error message: The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details The following shows the error as displayed on the client's screen. At this point, it is worth stating that the workflow ran to completion and the PO appeared completely approved and fine in Dynamics GP, so whatever was causing this error did not seem to interrupt the approval flow.
