Since then, this problem has been documented in KB article 2588519 - GL Trial Balance SRS Reports return no data using Microsoft Dynamics GP and a workaround provided in the same article to fix the ailing stored procedure, dbo.seeglPrintSRSTrialBalance, causing data not to be returned.
The good news is, this problem is scheduled to be fixed in Service Pack 3.
Until next post!

Thank you!! Upgraded a client to GP 2010 R2 and have been surprised at how poorly SSRS performs. We have spent lots of time troubleshooting when in fact, it appears the SRS reports themselves are not correct.
Not cool...
We are on GP 2010 SP3 and I'm running into the problem of beginning balances not showing if there were no debits or credits within the year. Was this bug fixed with SP3? Or do we still need to run this script?
I am having the same problem. Accounts with no activity and a beginning balance are not on the trial balance
All,
All issues with this report have been resolved in the latest service packs. Please download and apply. If you continue to experience any issues, please contact Microsoft Support as I am not in a position to resolve the problem - if there's even one.

i've posted this problem to Microsoft Connect. if anyone would like vote on it so it gets attention, it is id 785504.
we are on SP3. i'm not sure why we are running into this unless there is something having to do with SRS reports that our partner didn't do during the install of the service pack.
